When it comes time to find a skilled nursing home for a loved one, how to you know you've made the right selection? Most times elderly want to remain close to their friends and the community they grew up in when it comes time for a nursing home.
I suggest touring facilites the busiest time of the day, such as meal time. Do not set an appointment, just walk in as though you are visiting someone and observe with your senses.
